Thursday

Ella and I spent Thursday on the farm with uncle Cole docking lambs.
Ella sat up on her perch on the fence and watched us dock lambs, asking questions and counting tails...

Friday

Friday night we had dinner with the Cox boys, and then went and checked out the rally cars in town for the Targa Rally.

driveway gone...

and there has been 2 days of work on the driveway... we now have a dusty shingle mess out our front door instead of a driveway, and no doubt it will stay like that for a while now till the concrete man eventually comes and puts a big smooth concrete drive way there instead, and gives Ella a big smooth drive to ride her bike around on. (and for us to park cars on too...) she enjoyed her ride in the digger with Bill.

Labour Weekend

The lake on Saturday morning... somewhere out there in the morning mist, Nat is catching his first fish...
here he is back again, the great hunter...

and it was this big..... I am sure the size might get progressively bigger as the story gets retold, but evidence here, it is a decent size fish...

then off further up the bay of plenty and coromandel to catch up with new friends and Family and of course to dig some holes in Barry's sand pit.
dont forget the play ground in Taupo on the way home.... Ella had a great sleep, all the way from Barry and Margarets to well south of Tokoroa (1.30 till about 4) and Ang survived the trip without being tooo uncomfortable...
now only 80 days away from number 2 arriving...

nice dinner with Manoja

Wednesday night, we have just had a great dinner with Manoja, (Narly's sister who happens to be doing some locum work down here at the moment.) She really likes the Hawkes bay but I don't think we will see her moving down here permanently just yet...

weekend with Tarra

Aunty Tarra came to visit this weekend and had a sleepover in Ella's room. Here is Ella and Tarra enjoying breakfast in bed!!!The girls enjoyed two days of shopping, and loads of stories... Thank you aunty Tarra for my new book about Hiccup the Viking who was sea sick. Ella feels just like those vikings today...

this week

Ella did some painting, spent some time with Mummy (as she was off work a few days during the week due to being on nights over the weekend) and had a trip to the farm with Dad!

Uncle Cole asked the fairy if she would like a go on the quad bike, and she was as keen as mustard!
